On Thursday, February 12, 2026, South High School hosted its first-ever Winter Formal. The dance was open to 10th, 11th, and 12th graders only. Tickets were purchased prior to the event on MySchoolBucks for just $4.00. The dance started at 7:00 p.m. as students arrived. The event was organized by the Student Council, alongside Mr. Oswald and Mr. D’Auria, in order to celebrate the enchanting winter season. They worked hard to adorn South Hall with dazzling lights and winter-themed decorations.

As the Winter Formal commenced, attendees enjoyed a variety of activities. With the Falcon Report crew providing music, many students danced the night away to musical classics like the Cha Cha Slide in their formal attire. Others had the opportunity to take pictures with friends. There were even students playing a game of “Keep It Up” with a nearby fallen balloon.

Faculty volunteers ran the snack bar, where students were provided with one snack, a bottle of water, and ice cream. As the night reached its peak, attendees danced their final steps to slow songs.

Overall, the Winter Formal was a wonderful time for students to show off their dance moves and make precious memories during the chilly season.
